The general meeting of the Estonian Bar Association took place in Tallinn on 9-10 March 1995. Mr Aare Tark, Attorney and Chairman of the Bar Association presented the 1994 report. The year 1994 was busy and full of changes for the Bar Association; in 1994 the Bar Association celebrated its 75th anniversary. For this occasion the Bar Association also acquired its own flag. In connection with the anniversary 67 attorneys were awarded the Estonian Bar mark of distinction. In 1994 as a result of passing the professional examinations 53 lawyers became members of the Bar, 18 of them received the qualification of barristers. Currently the number of attorney bureaus in Estonia is 105, employing 285 attorneys.
