Summary

In January 1909, the first known to us Estonian law journal Seadus ja Kohus. Õigusteadline ajakiri (in English, ‘Statute and Court. A Legal Journal’) began to be published. The journal continued to be published until early 1914. The article explores this modest in appearance but historically noteworthy journal both in terms of its external embodiment and the established programme as well as from the perspective of its realisation and those who were behind it.
