Summary

The Student Career Service of the University of Tartu has been operating since 1999. During all these years, the Service has conducted annual studies of the careers of graduates from the University of Tartu, organised career events and fairs and company presentations, provided students with job advice and organised practical training. The author examines cases when new employees have been sought through the Career Service. Special attention is paid to legal job offers. Finally the author describes the results of a survey conducted among graduates of the University of Tartu focusing on graduates of the Law Faculty and their activities after graduation, further studies and jobs.
