Summary

The article analyses the results of noncontractual violations of authors' rights, i.e. cases of tort. Other possible grounds for filing an action for a violation of authors rights as well as complex issues related to compensation for damage caused to authors, such as the fault of the offender, the burden of proof and the calculation of the amount of damages are outside the scope of this article. The article serves as an introduction to the topic of compensation for damage caused to the author. Problems related to the determination of damage only briefly addressed in the article make up a significant part of the topic.
