Summary

Like the process of cognition in general, a theoretical analysis of the state and law cannot be a chaotic process. Hence issues concerning research methodology are most significant in scientific research. The last decades of the 20^th century allow us to speak about the age of systems or at least about its start in the development of thinking and science. However, systems analysis has been receiving less attention in recent years while synergetics as a new research trend has become popular. The author attempts to find solutions to the questions whether the systems theory has become or is becoming outdated, how to account for differences in the introduction and application of the systems analysis, and why researchers recognising systems concepts use them modestly. The author tackles the main development phases and models of the systems analysis, examines reasons for the decrease in the popularity of the systems analysis and seeks ways of changing the situation in legal research and practice. Also, the author tries to point out the implications of synergetics for the theory of the state and law from the methodological perspective. The author describes the main features of a synergetic world outlook and the main development models of the systems analysis.
