Summary

An application of any new law causes problems and different opinions. It also applies to the Law of Working Time and Time of Rest which came into force on March 1, 1994. The disputabilities are connected with the shortening of the working time, overtime, application of the time on duty, application of partial working time, length of the working time at night as well as with the application of the summarized working time. The article analyzes the arisen questions and offers some versions of their solution. The author also offers her vision of which problems connected with the working time and time of rest should be regulated by the collective agreement, which is the supervision of the legislation regulating the working time and time of rest. Some proposals have been made for the amendment and alteration of the Law of Working Time and Time of Rest.
