Summary

The article contains comments to the Law on Prosecution passed on February 25, 1993. In conformity with this Law the reformed Prosecution is a state executive body governed by the Minister of Justice the tasks of which are to supervise the legitimacy of the pre-trial procedure of criminal cases; to represent state prosecution in all the courts, to supervise the legitimacy of the implementation of penaltys which is connected with confinement and compulsory medicinal and educational measures; to supervise the legitimacy of the police activity.

The status of prosecution and prosecutors is regulated in a detailed manner by the Decree on Prosecution.
