Summary

This article addresses changes introduced in the proceeding of civil matters before the courts of first instance. The author also gives an overview of the corresponding court practice and of problems which have arisen in the implementation of the previous version of the Code of Civil Procedure. Finally the author focuses on the purpose and implications of amendments introduced by the new Code.
